The Original Horseshoe Company is a small Scottish business, set up in May 2005.
Our workshop is based in Ayrshire on the scenic west coast of Scotland, overlooking the island of Arran.
The idea was based on using worn horseshoes and transforming them into beautiful wedding horseshoes, handcrafted and decorated to a very high standard. We pride ourselves in all products being done by hand.
Legend says that the lucky horseshoe brings the bride and groom good fortune and prosperity for their future life together. Traditionally the horseshoe should be taken from the foot of a grey mare. Each horseshoe is totally unique and we hope this will add a special magic to your wedding day.
What we offer.
From bridal horseshoes, tartan horseshoes, anniversaries, baby gifts, stable plaques and more.
We make gifts to order, offering the customer a service to meet their individual requirements. Bridal horseshoes can be ordered to co-ordinate with your wedding theme.
We use a mixture of old and new horseshoes. New horseshoes are used on plinths and other gifts. Horseshoe plinths can be made for anniversaries, 18th & 21st birthdays, retirements, new job, graduation and football colours.
Stable plaques - send your horse's shoe and we will place this on a wooden plaque.
In addition we make wedding garters and fascinators in a selection of colours and tartans.
